The Yamaha WR155 rental Bali is our most-requested bike — a street-legal trail enduro that handles Canggu traffic and volcano tracks alike. See full specs, gallery and weekly pricing on the dedicated WR155 page.

Prefer the street? Our three Yamaha MT-25 nakeds are the everyday choice for naked bike rental in Canggu — lightweight, agile and perfect for daily island miles. See full specs, gallery and weekly pricing on the Yamaha MT-25 page.

Why Island Roamers

Motorbike rental Bali, done properly

Search for motorbike rental Bali and you’ll wade through a hundred scooter shops offering a step-through by the day. Nothing wrong with that — but if you’re here for a month, a season or a proper trip and you actually ride, Bali rewards a real motorcycle. The volcano switchbacks, the west-coast beaches, the jungle climbs up north — the island’s best roads weren’t made for a 125cc scooter.

That’s why we exist. Island Roamers is a small, Canggu-based monthly motorbike rental Canggu operation built around real bikes: Yamaha WR155 trail bikes for the dirt, MT-25 nakeds for everyday island miles, and a Kawasaki Z650 for riders who want a genuine big bike. Every motorcycle is ours, serviced on schedule, and rented by the week or month — not handed down a partner chain.

  • ·Real motorcycles, owned and serviced by us — never brokered from other shops
  • ·Published day / week / month pricing in IDR — no “message for a quote” games
  • ·Straight answers on the licence & IDP you need before a police check asks
  • ·Free delivery and pickup across South Bali and Ubud, airport included

You message us on WhatsApp, we bring the serviced bike to your door — that’smotorbike rental Bali the way it should be. Browse the motorcycles you can rent in Bali right now, or check what you need to rent a motorbike in Bali before you land.

Specifically interested in a trail bike? See our wr155 rental bali page for full specs, gallery and weekly pricing on our Yamaha WR155 enduro fleet — the newest trail bikes in Canggu.

Our Yamaha WR155 is the bike we recommend most for riders splitting their time between Canggu streets and Bali’s mountain trails — a lightweight, street-legal enduro that’s equally at home on the Batu Bolong crawl and the Mount Batur dirt tracks.

Built for the long stay

The WR155 trail bikes nobody else rents

Three street-legal Yamaha WR155 enduros — the newest trail bikes in Canggu. While the dirt-bike shops rent aging KLX and CRF for day-tours, we hand you a 2025 WR155 by the week or month. Ride to the rice paddies, the volcano tracks and the black-sand beaches, then home for dinner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need a licence to rent a motorbike in Bali?+

Yes. Indonesian law requires foreign riders to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) endorsed for motorcycles, together with your home-country licence. The old 30-day tourist licence from Denpasar police was discontinued in 2025, so an IDP — arranged in your home country before you travel — is the only legal route for visitors. Police run regular checks around Canggu, Kerobokan and Ubud, and riding without the right documents risks on-the-spot fines.

How much does it cost to rent a motorbike in Bali for a month?+

Far less per day than renting by the day. Our monthly rates start from around IDR 4.2M for a Yamaha WR155 trail bike or a Yamaha MT-25 naked, and about IDR 9.5M for the Kawasaki Z650 — real motorcycles, not scooters. Weekly rates sit in between, and the longer you book, the lower the effective daily rate. We publish every rate up front and confirm the exact price for your dates on WhatsApp.

Should I rent a motorcycle or a scooter in Bali?+

It depends on how you ride. Scooters (Vario, Nmax, PCX at IDR 1.5–3.5M/month) are fine for short beach runs and Canggu cafe hops — every rental shop in Bali has them. A real motorcycle rental makes sense when you ride further or longer: volcano switchbacks, west-coast beaches, mountain climbs, or a month-plus stay where you want one good bike instead of a fleet hand-me-down. Motorcycles like our WR155, MT-25 and Z650 carry more power, better brakes and real suspension — and on a monthly rate the gap to a premium scooter is smaller than most people expect. If you already ride a geared bike at home, renting a motorcycle in Bali is the upgrade the island deserves.

Do you offer 250cc motorbike rental in Bali?+

Yes — our 250cc motorbike rental in Bali is the Yamaha MT-25, a 249cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin that revs freely and carries real overtaking power for the coast roads and volcano climbs. At around 165 kg it stays light and flickable through Canggu traffic, which makes it the sweet spot between a 125cc scooter and a heavier 650cc big bike. We run three MT-25s — two with our signature custom scrambler seat and a clean factory-stock 2020 — from IDR 300K/day, IDR 1.7M/week and IDR 4.2M/month, delivered free to your villa across Canggu, Berawa, Pererenan and the rest of South Bali.

Do you offer weekly and monthly motorbike rental?+

Yes — weekly and monthly hire is what we do best. Most of our riders are long-stay foreigners based in Canggu, Kerobokan and Berawa who want one good bike for weeks or months rather than a day. The longer you book, the better the daily rate, and we keep each bike serviced throughout your stay.

Weekly vs monthly motorbike rental in Bali — how much do you actually save?+

Weekly beats daily, and monthly beats weekly — the effective daily rate keeps falling the longer you commit. Take the Yamaha WR155: IDR 200K/day drops to about IDR 157K/day on a weekly plan (IDR 1.1M/week) and roughly IDR 140K/day on a monthly plan (IDR 4.2M/month). The gap widens fast on bigger bikes — a Yamaha MT-25 falls from IDR 300K/day to around IDR 140K/day monthly, and the Kawasaki Z650 from IDR 650K/day to about IDR 317K/day (IDR 9.5M/month versus IDR 3.5M/week). The rule of thumb is simple: past two weeks, a monthly plan is almost always cheaper than paying week-to-week. We publish every daily, weekly and monthly tier up front on each model page, so you can see exactly where the value kicks in before you message us.

What do I need to rent a motorbike from Island Roamers?+

A valid passport, your home-country driving licence, and a motorcycle-endorsed IDP. You'll need to be at least 18 (and 21+ with genuine big-bike experience for the Kawasaki Z650). We never hold your passport as collateral — a refundable deposit of IDR 500,000–2,000,000 applies instead.

Do you deliver the bike — including to the airport?+

Yes, free across South Bali: Canggu, Kerobokan, Berawa, Pererenan, Seminyak, Legian, Kuta, Denpasar, Sanur, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Uluwatu / the Bukit, Ubud, Ngurah Rai (DPS) Airport. Your motorcycle, helmets and paperwork come straight to your villa, hotel or the arrivals gate — no need to find a rental shop.

Can a beginner ride the Yamaha WR155 trail bike?+

The WR155 is one of the friendliest ways into off-road riding — light, forgiving and street-legal, so you ride it to the trailhead and back. It suits confident newer riders who want to explore Bali’s tracks, rice paddies and black-sand beaches. The MT-25 suits riders comfortable with a geared bike, and the 650cc Z650 is for experienced riders only.

Is insurance included, and is it safe to ride in Bali?+

We don’t insure the bike itself, and we’ll always be upfront about that — most Bali shops don’t, so we strongly recommend arranging travel insurance that covers motorbike riding before you arrive (most policies only pay out if you hold a valid home licence and a motorcycle-endorsed IDP). Every bike is fully serviced and supplied with quality helmets, your passport stays with you against a refundable deposit, and Bali’s roads reward riding within your experience — gear up and ease in by daylight.

How old do you need to be to rent a motorcycle in Bali?+

You must be at least 18 to rent with us, and the larger Kawasaki Z650 is reserved for riders 21+ with real riding experience.

What counts as off-road motorbike rental in Bali and do I need a guide?+

Off-road motorbike rental in Bali usually means a guided day-tour on an aging KLX or CRF led by a tour operator. We do it differently: street-legal Yamaha WR155 enduros available for self-ride weekly or monthly hire, so you explore the volcano tracks, rice-paddy trails and black-sand beaches on your own terms — no tour group, no fixed itinerary, and the bike gets you there and back on the road as well.

How do I choose the best monthly motorbike rental in Bali?+

Monthly motorbike rental in Bali splits into two worlds: scooter subscriptions (Nmax, PCX, Vario at IDR 1.5–3.5M/month) and real geared motorcycles for riders who want more. A good monthly rental publishes its day/week/month rates openly instead of hiding behind "contact for a quote," delivers free to your area, never holds your passport as collateral, and offers bikes that are serviced throughout your stay — not just on handover day. Our fleet starts at around IDR 4.2M/month for a WR155 trail bike or MT-25 naked, and IDR 9.5M for the Z650.

Is long-term motorbike rental in Bali really cheaper than daily rent?+

Yes — long-term motorbike rental in Bali drops the effective daily rate significantly. A bike that costs IDR 400K/day works out to about IDR 12M/month at the daily rate. The same bike on a monthly rental is often IDR 5–7M — roughly half. The sweet spot is a full month or longer: the daily rate keeps falling the longer you commit. We publish three tiers (3–6 day, 7–14 day, and 30-day) right on every model page so there are no surprises.

How much is long-term motorbike rental in Bali for a multi-month stay?+

Long-term motorbike rental in Bali gets cheaper the longer you commit. Our published 30-day rates start from around IDR 4.2M/month for a Yamaha WR155 or MT-25 and about IDR 9.5M for the Kawasaki Z650 — already roughly half the cost of renting by the day. Staying two months or longer? Message us your dates on WhatsApp and we’ll sharpen the monthly rate further. Every long-term rental includes servicing throughout your stay, free delivery and pickup across South Bali and Ubud, quality helmets, and a refundable deposit instead of a held passport — one well-kept motorcycle for your whole stay, not a scooter subscription.

What should I look for in a trail bike rental in Bali?+

A good trail bike rental in Bali gives you a street-legal enduro — like the Yamaha WR155 — so you can ride from your villa to the trailhead and back without a truck or transfer. Look for newer bikes (not decade-old KLX/CRF fleet bikes), long-travel suspension, 21"/18" wheels, knobby tyres, and a rental shop that services the bike throughout your stay. Avoid rentals that only offer guided day-tours — self-ride weekly and monthly hire gives you the freedom to explore Bali's volcano tracks, rice paddies and black-sand beaches on your own schedule.

Where can I ride with a dirt bike rental in Bali?+

A self-ride dirt bike rental in Bali opens up the island: the Kintamani volcano tracks and lava fields, fire roads through the Jatiluwih rice terraces, jungle climbs around Munduk, and the black-sand beaches from Pererenan to Kedungu. Our Yamaha WR155s are street-legal enduros, so you ride from your villa to the trailhead and back — no truck, no guide, no fixed itinerary. At around 134 kg with long-travel suspension and 21"/18" wheels, they handle genuine terrain while staying forgiving enough for confident newer riders, and they cruise the tarmac between trails at an easy island-road pace.

Do you offer dual sport rental in Bali for both road and off-road?+

Yes — our Yamaha WR155s are dual-sport bikes, meaning they're fully road-legal (number plates, indicators, lights) and equally capable on dirt. Dual sport rental in Bali is the best of both worlds: commute through Canggu during the week, hit the Kintamani volcano tracks and Jatiluwih fire roads on the weekend, all on the same bike. Because the WR155 is light, fuel-injected and built for both surfaces, you don't need two rentals — or a support truck — to ride Bali properly.

Where can I park my rental motorbike in Canggu?+

Canggu has plenty of free motorbike parking — most cafes, co-working spaces, and villas have dedicated bike bays. Along Batu Bolong and Berawa, you can park on the roadside for free. Avoid parking on yellow lines or in front of temple entrances. For overnight parking, your villa or guesthouse almost always has secure bike parking — just ask your host. If you are riding to the beach, La Brisa and Old Man's both have large, free motorbike lots.

Are there police checkpoints for rental bikes near Ubud?+

Yes — police checkpoints around Ubud are common, especially on Jalan Raya Ubud, near the Monkey Forest, and on the main roads to Tegallalang. Officers primarily check for a valid licence and an International Driving Permit (IDP) endorsed for motorcycles. They may also check your bike's registration (STNK), which we provide with every rental. Ride with your IDP and home licence at all times — a photocopy on your phone usually works, but carrying the physical IDP is safer.

Is it safe to ride a rental motorbike from Canggu to Uluwatu?+

Yes — the ride from Canggu to Uluwatu takes about 45-60 minutes and is one of Bali's best coastal routes. Take Jalan Raya Canggu south through Kerobokan, then follow the bypass past the airport before turning onto the Uluwatu road. The roads are well-paved throughout, though the final stretch up the Bukit peninsula has some steep sections. Go in the morning to avoid traffic, and watch for sand on the road near the surf breaks. All our bikes handle this route easily — the MT-25 and Z650 are particularly fun on the Bukit's sweeping bends.

Where are the best places to ride a motorbike near Sanur?+

Sanur is a great base for relaxed coastal rides. Head north along the Sanur beachfront (Jalan Danau Tamblingan) for cafes and sea views, or take the new toll bridge to Serangan Island for quiet roads and turtle-sanctuary visits. For a longer ride, go east to Padang Bai (about 1 hour) — the coastal road winds past small fishing villages and has very light traffic compared to southern Bali. The WR155 is ideal for exploring the dirt tracks around the mangroves north of Sanur, while the Z650 makes the Padang Bai coastal run a proper big-bike ride.

What's included in a monthly motorbike rental Bali package?+

Every monthly motorbike rental Bali package from Island Roamers includes: one well-maintained motorcycle (your choice of Yamaha WR155, MT-25 or Kawasaki Z650), quality helmets, free delivery and pickup across South Bali and Ubud, servicing throughout your stay, the bike's registration (STNK), and a refundable deposit system that means your passport stays with you. What you won't get: hidden fees, a held passport, or a scooter dressed up as a motorcycle — just one real bike at a transparent monthly rate with no surprises.

How far in advance should I book a monthly motorbike rental in Bali?+

For a monthly motorbike rental in Bali, book as early as you can — especially during peak season (June–September and December–January). Our fleet is small (8 bikes) and monthly rentals tie up a bike for weeks, so availability moves fast. Two to four weeks ahead is ideal for the best choice of model; last-minute monthly bookings can work but you may need to be flexible on which bike you get. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and preferred model and we'll confirm availability within a few hours.
